Catherine Spears is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #141638) and Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional (CAIMHP) who serves as the Director of Clinical Services – SUD Division. In this leadership role, she oversees the delivery of mental health services across the organization’s substance use treatment programs, ensuring clients receive high-quality, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care that supports long-term recovery. She provides clinical direction and program oversight to promote excellence in treatment and positive client outcomes.

Catherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Arts in Psychology from Brandman University, part of the Chapman University System. She brings extensive experience in behavioral healthcare across residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings. In addition to her leadership role, she owns and operates a private psychotherapy practice specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Her clinical philosophy is rooted in treating the whole person, recognizing the important connection between mental health and recovery. Catherine integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help individuals address the underlying causes of addiction, strengthen emotional wellness, and build a sustainable foundation for lifelong recovery.
